I don't believe it.
I see clients everyday going down the cutting process.
president bragging about unemployment rate....thats a good thing for sure but its about to get a lot worse IMO.

We got bought by super mega corp, and they are cutting redudnancy. Super mega corp had their best quarter ever last quarter.

in many businesses to get ready for the recession, which may not come. There was some major company that cut 10,000 jobs - big news, but they hired over that many last quarter. I do think anyone that can use this time to clean up the payroll and cut less profitable or yet to show a profit area are doing it.

My entire site got cut once in what was supposed to be a "town hall" meeting. Haven't trusted town halls ever since.
If it's only a few people, it's never good. If it's a mass layoff in your physical area, it's not always bad. After some time it could spread your network across different companies.

Enterprise software
Five of my 15 person team got RIF’d late October. Two found jobs internally, the other three left.
Severances were pretty f’ing good.
#### happens. A #### load of over hiring past three years in tech/software/and related ####.
