not sure why we should all know this. i mean, i've seen us play under the sun in cootlumbia many times. so, not sure why a night game was a given this year or in two years.

I think what OP is referring to is the SEC generally does a good job at making sure home games vs OOC P5 teams are night games. Doesn't look like the ACC could give 2 craps.

Does the ESPN SEC Network get priority over the ESPN ACC Network?

It would make sense if this is the case, since ratings for SEC Network are higher than those for ACC Network.

SEC Network probably surveyed the inventory of regular season final games, excluded those SEC teams that other networks with priority status (relative to SEC Network has), and backed into the 7:39 PM start time for this year’s chicken plucking event.

It goes by the home team. So last year ACCN would have had the opportunity to make that a night game, which would have made sense as you guys were still fighting for a playoff spot and we were coming off of a huge win.

But you can bet your asp, on odd numbered year, the SEC will do whatever it can to make that game a night game. Doesn't always work out, but will more often than not. FSU @ UF was just announced a night game as well.
