It’s 3rd versus 13th. Stop pretending we’ve played an unusually weak schedule to date. It’s been more competitive than the schedule played by 117 other teams. And 10 places does not account for the difference in defense rankings.

Duke, Charleston Southern, and Florida A is the 13rd hardest schedule in the first 3 weeks.

We are probably the beneficiary of some kind of rounding of the weighting of FCS teams. But please look at the teams around us and tell me who as played a significantly harder schedule behind us? Lots of teams haven’t even played a top 40 caliber team yet. And Florida Atlantic is not significantly worse than BC. They’re ranked 80th and 103 by Sagarin. Speaking of Sagarin, he has us 16th and FSU 17th. We’re a field goal favorite. Warren Nolan has us as a 2 point favorite and puts us at 58% chance of winning. Again, I’m not trying to pump Clemson, I’m trying to deflate this ridiculous FSU bubble. If they’re the return of Jimmy Johnson’s Hurricanes to our Bad News Bears then the stats, not matter how impartial at this point, shouldn’t look like this.

It's a BS metric—we have #13 SOS w/ Duke + fcs school + group of 5 school; yet Duke who played a team ranked inside the top 10 + Northwestern(power 5) + LaLaf(group of 5) has the #26 ranked SOS after 3 games—BS metric

We have played nobody yet. It’s been a very weak schedule but as I said before, FSU almost lost to BC last weekend. BC is terrible. I think we win this game at home and shut some people up!

That means nothing. Only 3 games have been played. If this was game 8 or 9 that would hold water. FSU played up in BC in 25 mph winds. I hope beyond hope we can pull it out. I’m just not confident. Those 2 receivers and Travis are a lot to handle.

Are you really using wind to justify their performance at BC. Now, I want you to think this through carefully. Was the wind a benefit to BC but a hinderance to FSU. That famous Alumni Stadium home wind. That would be an excuse for a defense struggle. Not a game where a BC outrushed and outpassed FSU. You’re giving band members a bad name.

Yeah well bc played in the same weather conditions. That don't hold water as far as an excuse for fsu is concerned. If not for 18 penalties I believe bc wins that game.

And normally I wouldn’t use that logic because we’re only in 3 games for the season but they did play LSU already. LSU would steam roll Duke and it wouldn’t be close.
