BEST probably is Ray Nathan's in Belmont (15-20 mins away)

its not far off 85. Next best near the stadium would be Macs Speed Shop in South End. Which is 3 mins from parking areas for game. But it'll be packed that day i'm guessing. I'd make a pickup order at Ray Nathans, go get it, and then tailgate like a mug afterward. All their sides, ribs, pork, brisket,is all good.

There's also a Mac's Speed Shop location right off S Tryon

also Midwood Smokehouse is good in Plaza midwood area.

MAybe a 5 min drive from stadium area. Right outside the 277 beltway loop.

I'd rank them: Ray Nathans, Midwood, Macs. The rest of the charlotte BBQ places will just be frozen and thawed pulled pork sandwiches and campbells baked beans type places.. not worth the effort if thats all you want.

Ray Nathan's is owned by Clemson grads.

We really like Noble Smoke on Freedom Drive...

not far from the stadium but could be quite crowded on game day.

It's called "The Smoke Pit" but it's up in Concord NC. You may not want to drive that far but it's unbeatable. Yes, I said unbeatable. No matter where you choose to get your BBQ from, please, just enjoy every minute of it. Cherish the time with your friends and family and GO TIGERS!!!!!

Nice, some places I’ve never been and excited to try out. As far as the ones I know Midwood Smokehouse is my choice, unless Mac’s daily special is the smoked brisket chimichanga. Smoked brisket, rolled in a tortilla, flash fried, and smothered in queso; it’ll change your life. If you’re a vinegar hater be warned Midwood lightly dresses their pulled pork in their house sauce, which is vinegar based.

As for parking, if you’re not tailgating but instead hanging out at the restaurants and bars, I’d park at the Scaleybark station and ride the light rail in to the Bland St station.
