They were. I rarely , rarely keep bass...but it I do..they are spots. I hate

spots. They have taken over Russell. I used to go down there and whack the largemouth, but the spots have taken over. You probably catch 10 to 1 on spots versus largemouth....

I came in 2nd last tournament I fished there with 12+lbs of spots on the second day. Thankfully I caught some largemouth the first day for around 18lbs.

20 years ago, you could catch 25 lbs. on topwater in the trees....***

Ha! Funny thing is I caught all my largemouth on a Pop-r (Spash-it) the first day. Topwater of course

I used to kill them on a Super Pop-R as soon as the water got to about 68..I
