What do you do with outdated or “unlucky” Clemson memorabilia

I read where someone recently threw away some orange overalls. Personally, I have a real hard time parting with anything related to Clemson. Heck, I still have a t-shirt with Tommy Bowden on it that I wear sometimes because we’ve won before while wearing it. Not a hoarder, but when it comes to the Tigers, guilty as charged! So do you throw away, donate to thrift stores, or hand down to a family member?

I have this same problem. I do pass them down to a Family member. If not, I trash them. Can't stand the thought of someone not #AllIN having them!

Interesting problem. If you can't find a worthy person to accept said memorabilia, then maybe some kind of official ceremony of retirement protocol (think old Flag retirement)could be developed.
Attach a giant Fresnel lens to the Oculus and after the playing of tiger rag, point the lens at the memorabilia and ....poof.... The Oculus giveth and the Oculus taketh away.

I like it, Let the Oculus handle it. . Personally I don't think of any of it as unlucky. Bowden brought us Dabo and that was worth enduring some pain. We have a Sugar Blues jersey and though we lost that game, it's a treasured souvenir!

Back around '06 someone gave me a Clemson ball cap signed by both Tommy and Bobby Bowden, encased in a clear plastic display shell. Still have it on a shelf in my office. Pretty useless. Beside it I have a memorial book from the '81 season, two unopened '81 coke bottles, and my ticket stub from the championship game in Tampa. Those are a little more meaningful.

I have in my possession a 1964 Clemson - Wake Forest game program. The game was played in Winston Salem. The program has Wake Forest running back Brian Piccolo in it. Pretty Cool!!!

My Rule 1 for memorabilia...never buy souvenirs before the game is over.
When Rule 1 gets broken bad things tend to happen.
Sometimes Rule broken--mostly for Military Appreciation Day t-shirts--and it's OK. A t-shirt for a good cause seems to offset the karma.
Mostly, my outdated Clemson t-shirts get relegated to yard-work clothes.

I carried my son that still lives in Memphis to the coot game that started their 5 wins in a row.
He hasn't been allowed to another Clemson game. My coot brother still offers him a ticket every year.

outdated or “unlucky” Clemson memorabilia:
Burning it in a highly ritualized service at the oculus with chicken grease as fuel.
Doing anything else is pure sacrilege and should have "fan" ex-communicated.

Good stuff- if a Tervis Tumbler lets me down, I still use it- just not on game days.
Articles of clothing I wear until shot at which time they appropriately become Tiger Rags.
