What Klubnik clearly does

is open up the playbook. Sprint outs, a little option, QB run off a scramble. Very accurate.
DJ is not a scrambler or natural runner. He actually threw it well in the second half, but the play calling is totally different with Cade obviously. It's the DW offense. Even with Trevor we were different than with DW

The offense changed completely with him in the game. Streeter knows what Cade can do and what DJ can. We need the Cade offense to keep teams off balance. The risk of a QB running opens your offense up so much. They know we will only run a qb power with DJ. With Cade we can run sprints and be able to throw off of those with him. It is the DW4 offense all over again. As long as we can get these WRs to catch the ball.

With an interior line that can't block, an OC who is unimaginative, and a WR group who can't catch passes in tight coverage you need a guy who can move the pocket and help produce open windows.

disagree. if you look at the times when there was d line pressure, all that was needed was a side step and step up in the pocket on 80+%. Rewatch the game and look for this. The issue is DJ. He gets us off rhythm and that is the tone for dropped balls and other issues. Wait and see what happens when cade takes over.

There will be no explanation. Just someone who thinks no matter what DJ is bad

An unimaginative OC? If you were the OC and Dabo insisted you play DJ what schemes would you run?

Yep. Rolling DJ out of the pocket would help him too. He looked a lot better when he was moving than when he was standing in the pocket.

DJ made some nice throws from the pocket.
Movement from the pocket needs to be by design for him

He also has a fire and passion that I don’t see from DJ.

Amen. Cade is Tiger football. Now it’s going to get awkward. He brought and energy and electricity I haven’t seen. He’s freakishly athletic, looks like a strong leader, and throws accurate. And yes the playbook looked open again. I cannot see how in the world he beat him out in fall camp.
