last year of the four team playoff is the FIRST year that they really found themselves in a no-win situation. Chaos COULD have dealt them a bad hand in any of the previous nine years, but they got off lucky. This year, last time around for four teams, is the first and only time there was going to be a HUGE uproar, no matter WHO they chose.

They will consider themselves lucky only IF UGAy beats FSU. We have to wait to see if they are lucky.

True, I hope FSU does win the game. What kind of narrative would follow then? Bottomline is a non SEC team was likely to get bumped if UGA lost. It happened, so UGA and FSU were outed and UT and UA put in.

I firmly believe that FSU would STILL have been ousted even if Georgia had won.

TEXAS beat 2nd place in the SEC in that scenario, won their conference, and, most importantly, IS JOINING THE SEC NEXT YEAR! What more criteria do they need? (Pay no attention to that LOSS to Oklahoma, that, too, was a quality FUTURE SEC loss!)

The narrative will be that UGA didn’t want to be there and it will quickly be removed from any discussion or news cycle.
