Who is going up to Wake Forest?

Sep 15, 2022, 7:24 AM

We are leaving Friday evening and staying Friday night and Saturday near the Hanes Mall.

Does anyone know what the public parking is like? I have been to their website and it shows public parking on a map but I have also been told this map was wrong. I have attempted to purchase parking but cant find anything for sale. Anyone have information on Gameday parking?

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

I am in the same boat. We went to the game 4 years ago and had a reservation to park at a restaurant named the Last Resort through the parking service Fan Park. I contacted the service and they said they have no partnerships for this game. I have tried to contact the restaurant directly via phone and FaceBook multiple times over the last month but have not been able to get a response.

If you get to the stadium early enough there will be parking directly across the street from the stadium in the basketball arena. If you miss that there is parking along the streets that are close to the stadium. Joel Coliseum is the best and most convenient so arrive an hour or so early.

Have fun in the twin cities. Your wife will like Hanes Mall AND by all means go to Dewey’s bakery in Reynolda.
Traffic can be a nightmare at certain times.

Lots of good restaurants also.

I especially like Elizabeth’s Italian across the street from Hanes Mall. (Affordable !)

See you there.

Stubhub has a few passes for sale in the reserved lots by the stadium but they are pretty pricey.

I don’t recall it being an issue…I think I parked at…

…a grocery store parking lot a couple of years ago, and it was a 10 minute walk to the stadium.

I’m not expecting any issues next week either.

I wouldn’t sweat it.

We went several years back and there was a huge lot across from the stadium. We had no problem getting a space. It was a short walk to the stadium. You will find that most of the fans are very nice and glad that you are there. The 3 times we have gone, the Wake band played Tiger Rag on the field before the game. I don't know if they still do that, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Public parking at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum

It’s right next to the football stadium. It’s easy and will probably be $20. I live in Winston-Salem and go to a few WFU games a year.

who is coming down to see their daughter at High Point are all coming with as well.

Looking forward to seeing them enjoy their first college game. Being from Maine, they're not familiar with football in the south.

Gotta make sure we get the tailgating in too!!

Honestly you can park for free within a block or two of the stadium.

I guess paid parking might get you a little closer and maybe an attendant.

It is an industrial area but there was no one around except people attending the game.

I parked close to a fair the last time I went. Not sure if that will be going on but it was very close to the stadium. Not sure where I will park this time.

So if you get there early enough the coliseum has free spots or is it paid first come first serve?

Re: Who is going up to Wake Forest? Parking...

Sep 15, 2022, 7:16 PM

Truist field has decent parking but the lot will fill up quickly and some areas are reserved. Next door is Wake's baseball field some with parking. Across the street is the coliseum and fairgrounds.... Parking should be available there. Hopefully nothing else is going on at the coliseum so we have more parking. Nearby streets and business usually have parking though they are smaller yet sometimes cheaper.

I live in Winston Salem & it was hard to get a parking pass but we paid $50 or so to be in the coliseum lot since we have a lot of friends coming. The stadium is not in the nicest area so I would pay personally. If anyone wants restaurant recommendations I will post later.

I’ll be there! And I still got 2 tix to sell.
