With Maryland apparently bolting from the ACC...

Does that open the space up for Notre Dame to be their replacement so when they do finally make the move in football to the ACC we don't have to look for another team to make the divisions even?

Or is Notre Dame h**l bent on not being a ACC football school.

Seems logical to me...but so far what is logical isn't what is decided in the ACC (making the ACC a football heavy conference instead of boosting the basketball resume)

I've lieved near ND and have stated here categorically they will not move. Being Ind is a part of their snooty above it all culture. You never hear them speak of moving. it will not happen

in football. It would be incredibly stupid for them to. They're making serious dough, they get lots of attention, and special treatment in the BCS.

Notre Dame is not joining the ACC in football unless /until there becomes a playoff system that requires a conference championship winner as the only way to play for the NC.
