those of you trashing Dabo about us missing the playoffs this year likely still wouldn't know what the playoffs, a national championship, even an ACC championship are without out him.
Peace

No, sir, you are dead wrong about that Clemson existed a long time before Dabo, and many great men were involved in building it and Clemson will be here a long time after Dabo as well. Peace out.

of which we had 2 before Dabo. Many have been a part of Clemson, but no one has brought Clemson close to where Dabo has. Care to argue that?

No one is infallible and I’ve suffered through the down years so please don’t patronize me my point is simply this he miss handled the QB situation, and if you can’t admit that then we as a Fanbase have a problem

Look at this board, scroll through the pages, and look at the vitriol. AFTER WINNING THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP AND 11 GAMES. There is something wrong, and it's not a mistake about mishandling the QB situation

No one can argue the success Dabo has brought to the program, but I believe with that success came a lot of arrogance that wasn’t there before. The result of that arrogance is what happened this season.

Really? I get it, but in all time until now, Dabo is the best we’ve ever had. I grew up with Danny Ford and didn’t like the Dabo hire originally, but I’m not stupid enough to not understand that Dabo is the best Clemson has ever had.
Do I think he may have made a mistake last week not playing Cade or running the ball more? Of course, but he hasn’t made many mistakes, we are all human, and he’ll make it right. See tonight for the evidence.

Icudrinkbeam. There is no way to make it right. I think the NC playoffs or over. Maybe, just maybe, we get in after Cades performance last night, but I don’t think so. Last week was the final nail. We were a totally different team last night. One game may change the minds of the voters, but I don’t think so.

Pumpers gotta pump. Facts be ######. Dabo was wrong not to play Cade against the coots and it’s obvious to everyone. And it cost us a spot in the playoffs this year. Past performance notwithstanding.
I’m thankful for all the fussing this week that may have forced his hand. Regardless of what he says. Because he is very proud and stubborn. Clemson is bigger than any coach or player.

There’s a difference between wanting him gone and criticizing his decisions. A good leader should recognize when he’s made the wrong decision and correct that. Dabo’s shown that characteristic in the past, hopefully he takes some humble pie and gets us on the right track going forward

I am disappointed with Dabo’s decision with Cade and DJ. And the way it has been handled.
BUT I totally agree with you. Dabo has MORE than earned a pass for this.
We are lucky to have him.

Dabo can be the greatest coach we’ve ever had, and still be wrong about this QB situation. Both statements can be correct.

Excellence doesnt rest on its laurels. We owe a lot to Dabo, but that doesnt excuse him from criticism. We had a good year, had he made the right decisions it could have been a great year. Great leaders bear the responsibility for their decisions.

confounding. Cade was undeniably, beyond the shadow of any doubt, more than ready to not only get quality reps, but to take over for DJ and make our offense better. Yes, Dabo built this program and took it to heights it had never seen before, and nobody should be calling for his head or anything like that; but he, for some unknown, inexplicable reason, mishandled this particular situation if the goal was to have the best player on the field, the one that gave us the best chance to win. Cade should have replaced DJ sveral games back. No reasonable person could possibly think otherwise.

Please don’t come back with your holier than thou attitude again. You’ve been exposed as a fool for all the DJ BS all week and all season. Go read your posts from the week and think how you sound after tonight.

Listen to Dabo, Street, Cade, anyone on this team all year long, and what have they said. DJ is our leader. That has been unanimous. You don't just yank that guy. And when you do, it better work. It did tonight. Torch passed. And everyone. Especially the team, realizes it

And I don't disagree with that.

I don't like vitriol either, but in this case, the frustration and disappointment with what we have all witnessed is perfectly understandable. We all saw DJ struggling, we know (now) that we had a better option sitting on the bench, and we know that very likely cost us the game against the Gamecocks, and could have made a difference against Notre Dame, or at least made it closer. In turn, that likely cost us a spot in the playoff. No matter how much Dabo denies, deflects, or gets mad about it, it doesn't change it.
Simply stating that truth is not vitriol. Yes, it's very uncomfortable and very disappointing, but it's not vitriol.
Dabo alone, with his vision and drive, built a football dynasty at Clemson, and he did it the right way. As a result, he has rightfully become a Clemson legend, and established himself as one of the greatest football coaches of this era. It's also true that Dabo mishandled the QB situation this year, and it likely cost us at least one game, and probably a playoff appearance. I will always love and respect Dabo for all of that, and I have no hate or vitriol toward him at all, and I hope he is our head coach as long as I live, but it's fair and reasonable, as a fan, to be perplexed, disappointed, and frustrated by all of that, and when Dabo deflects and gets mad when asked about it, it only makes it worse. Now Dabo's spin is "We wouldn't have won tonight's game without Klubnick, but we wouldn't have made it to this game without DJ". Well, there's very good reason to believe that's not true at all, but rather it seems likely that we would have won at least one more game and made the playoff with Klubnick instead of DJ. I love and appreciate Dabo's positivity and looking forward and not backward; it's a key element to his success, but in this case, it comes across as a deflection, and a refusal to own his mistake.
Which brings us to DJ. DJ is a young man who happens to be a very talented athlete, who came to Clemson, fought significant adversity, and gave it his all and then some. He has done it with class, every step of the way. I have nothing but respect and admiration for DJ. He also struggled mightily to meet the lofty, perhaps unfair expectations. He struggled mightily and just flat out did not play well over much of the last two seasons. He, especially, doesn't deserve any hate or vitriol. That is ridiculous and wrong.
As fans of Clemson, and college football in general, we are in an odd and difficult position, trying to balance an uncomfortable reality with our love and loyalty for those involved and responsible. That's not our fault, we didn't create this situation, and some have predictably taken it too far and responded inapropriately, with hate and vitriol.
