2024 Telluride S- this the one, or keep looking?

Bear in mind this is upgrading my wife’s vehicle from a Honda Civic, this won’t be me driving this at least not on a daily basis. Nice tech inside, CarPlay etc. Middle row captains chairs, 60/40 third row. Really small storage with 3rd row not folded down, but fine for going around town, not great for moving all the crap babies travel with though. Pretty much what I’m looking for. 42k.
Thinking about leasing honestly, I’m so sick of mechanic bills on my two older vehicles. I can pay off the remainder of my car loan for way less than paying cash for the telluride, and still drop my monthly fixed costs. Always have the option to buy it out at the end of the term, at least is my understanding.
I’m still going to go look at a WV Atlas, and maybe a Honda Pilot. I’ve scratched the XC90 from the list, and I don’t think any of the luxury brands really have what I’m looking for (and are way more than what I want to spend). Not going minivan route, and don’t need a full size or truck, going to upgrade my 04 suburban later on.

I can't yell you about this car but I pit my daughters in Kias and have not been disappointed.
As for Volvo, I've had 2. I've had 2 too many.

It was a sweet ride and could go 0-150 pretty quickly. But once it started breaking it never stopped and so I sold it. Expensive to fix.

Yeah I’ve heard and read the same. Never thought I’d buy a Kia, but honestly I’m not really a brand snob and seems like they hit it out of the park with the Telluride, I see these things everywhere around here.

I’m not sure it has anything to do with my manhood, I think about it more like the same reason I don’t wear socks with sandals. Is it comfortable and practical? Yeah, sure, but there are some lines that I just won’t cross.

Yeah the wheels are… something. I’m impressed w it so far, it’s the perfect suburban hot mom car. The self-driving stuff on the interstate in new cars is crazy.
