I would really like this. I think and hope there is a decent chance something similar to this happens. But there is no way. No way Pitt gets in. None. I think ND has a chance. If you remove Pitt, move indiana to the East, and add ND to the midwest, it would be a little more even. The problem is that the non-B1G conferences dont want to force ND to join a conference because they know it will be the B1G. So, if ND can continue some sort of schedule the way it is, other than money, ND has very little incentive. Now, if B1G teams decide not to schedule ND, it might get iffy for the Irish.

Big10 schools get $50M today and nearly $100M at the end of the newly signed contract. You think that is going to double?
New contract is $7-8 billion over 7 years...you are thinking $5B per year?

The NFL TV contract is $105B over 10 years. It's $10B a year, not $100B/year.
The Big10 is already a premier conference, with a brand new TV contract. I don't see a path to increasing the annual value by 5x by adding a few markets.
Also, the AVERAGE NFL viewership for any given regular season game is 17M. That's the same number of people that watched the CFP national championship game. Again...average for any game vs biggest game of the season.
The audience gap between the NFL and anything else is beyond massive.

Ga tech and Notre Dame. If the true super leagues are forming, Notre Dame will take a chair. I doubt the Big will leave Atlanta if its wide open for the taking. If taking Ga Tech is what they have to do to plant their flag in the middle of SEC country, they will do just that.
