If true that ESPN told the ACC commissioner they would keep us competitive with the SEC then they should go to court. Assume it is not true just proves how Stupid everyone was to sign something so long term. No other conference did. I’m afraid Clemson doesn’t have a landing site except the Big 12. Best case would be a competitive media deal but believe that ship is out to sea.

The SEC contract runs through 2034, so they kinda did it.

The ACC is a better option than the Big 12. The only conference that Clemson should even remotely consider should be the South Eastern Conference. Regional rivalries mean a great deal and Clemson has much history with the South Eastern Conference.

I know this is an unpopular take. I do not think staying in the ACC is that bad for now if they don’t have a landing spot. I think in the next 10 years conferences will be blown apart for football. I think you will have 48 div 1 football teams. There will be 24 on each division. Each division will have 4 conf of 6 teams. First round 16 team playoff 1vs2 in each conference like conference champ now. 8 Winners move on to play in 4 bowls 2 weeks later. 4 winners move on to play 2 more bowls new years. Championship the next week.
