Backstreets in Clemson have really good traditional wings, Blue Heron in Pendleton has the best smoked wings around

Great price and good wings. I'll sometimes get their plain wings for the same price and mix them in a mix of melted butter and Buffalo sauce ( and other flavors). Very little mess and not much more than what you would pay for the raw wings!

Ruben's a little dive bar in a little strip mall in powdersville. And It don't matter. Both places don't have the best appearances but they both have really good wings with lots of flavors.

I can't talk about any of those, but I appreciated the 10 cent wings and 2 dollar pitchers at Chiefs in Anderson back in the day. Is that still there? Probably not.

Unfortunately it was .25 cent wings and $2 longnecks for me.
The brown wing sauce they had always intrigued me- I’ve never seen that anywhere but Chiefs and Charlie T’s. Molassas based? Anyone have a copy cat recipe?
Side note: went to chiefs for my 22nd birthday. Got hammered. My buddy (our driver) insisted on stopping and getting a bottle of Mad Dog 20-20 on the way home. It was passed around and we looked back fondly on high school.
Of course, we were pulled over and I took one for the team. Open container ticket-luckily only $250 at the time.
25 years later that held me up from getting my real estate license during the background check. But only for a couple weeks. 😁

The Asian joint that went in that spot didn’t get great business before mysteriously burning to the ground one night. I’m sure it had nothing to do with insurance or anything lol
