Perspective on this board is the worst

Men’s basketball is first in the ACC and in serious danger of not making the NCAA tournament. Yet some here believe we have attained some great level of success backed by superior coaching.


When in the last 30 years has the 1st place ACC team in the month of February not been a top 5 seed in anyone’s bracketology?

Let’s have some perspective people. Yes we’re having a great season record wise. But the reality is the ACC is not the premier basketball conference it was in the past.

ACC teams made the tournament, now 14-6 teams don’t. Things have changed in this league and not for the better. This year in particular, it is the worst it has ever been. Clemson has been helped specifically by playing the bottom feeders (Louisville, GT & FSU) of this league twice which is inflating their conference record and crushing their SOS.

This is an exceptional season for our basketball team. I will be as excited as I was when the football team won the ACC championship in 2015 for a lot of the same reasons. Don’t get here much so I’m just going to enjoy it.

their record was, a Championship is a Championship...We can only beat who they put in front of us, scheduling is out of our hands

Hard for me to get past the mental blocks of our history. To be honest I have and am expecting a bad February just because that’s what we normally do. We have for the most part minus BC took advantage of a mediocre conference when comparing it to, what if anyone that is old enough to remember, the ACC used to be. Of course myself and I can gather from other post that at the end of the day we hate to lose and want results i.e. winning the conference on occasion.

Such a divide on this board. Not sure if it’s difference in expectations in that they feel this is as good as it gets and some tired of that expectation.

Because other than that I don't see a whole lot of misconceptions about what this team truly is.

Not to defend the entire message board, but I think the vast majority have seen through the fools gold that was an easy schedule and a couple last second prayers answered against bad teams.

Yesterday was essentially a must win. We're not going to the tournament with our current resume, and "big wins" don't seem to be happening. Yesterday looked exactly like the BB teams we've come to except. It was absolute chance to put our name in the NCAA hat, but instead we shat the bed. It's been 13 years of this crap. I think the vast majority of this board aren't fooled.
