My initial 17 forgot to include Dominique Thomas. Still have a few more seniors with Covid years who could move on and maybe a defensive end and offensive lineman who could hit the portal.

But, I would say maybe a Denhoff or Patterson at DE or a Tucker, Howard or Williams at OL.

I am assuming that Jones, Phillips and Mickens in the secondary are done and Venables is returning.

I also have 18 spots open with 18 incoming freshmen by my tracking, but that assumes Shipley, Carter, and Mukuba all return and there are no more transfers. I can't imagine that's the case. The roster is shaping up nicely and a few more departures will allow them room to use the portal for plugging a few final holes. Assuming that's the case, there's a ton of reason for optimism next year.

I just saw where Ohio St. WR and former Clemson recruit, Julian Fleming, hit the portal. He would be a nice hole-filler left by Beaux Collins.

Out of all of the Clemson players that entered the portal. Does anyone know the success rate ??? Asked on what I have heard 60 to 70 percent never finish getting the college degree or play football ball again.
