Isn’t it kinda funny they will forever hold the title of only undefeated power 5 team to never make the playoff? They can’t ever live that down.
Too bad they don’t have the marketing power of the paw

And the only one to chicken out a scheduled game at the last minute when they werent sick.
I didn't care for ole Booby but he would play anyone anywhere at anytime. He would have never pulled what FSU did

had nothing to do with FSU per se and everything to do with the committee's cowardly disinclination or reluctance of having to explain why they didn't include the $EC Champion in the CFP. Since Texas beat the SEC champion head-to-head, they couldn't include Alabama and omit Texas. So instead, they made FSU and the Jordan Travis injury the scapegoat.

Since I was a small child, I've always heard that if anybody was looking for an excuse as to why they did or didn't do something good or bad, if they just look, they can find one just as the committee did by using Jordan Travis being injured as an excuse for keeping FSU out of the playoffs. If they hadn't had Travis to use, they would have come up with another excuse bc there will always be an excuse for whatever!!!

If they beat GA, they should hang a NC banner and pretend like it doesn't matter. It seemed to have worked for UCF.

The top 4 format won't be used anymore, and that gives the committee a life line even if they were to admit they made a mistake by leaving FSU out, they would apologize and move on...

like FSU did if our QB was out. SEC Champ HAS to get in, and if that is BAMA, they have to get in TIMES TWO!
Stuff like that is why I wish there was a way that NO TV entity was allowed to own the broadcast rights to the College Football Playoffs. Make ALL the networks put money into a pool, and whoever wants can broadcast the games.

The formation of 'The Alliance' delayed the 12 team playoff by a year. Can you imagine what a playoff this year would have been? So, the ACC brass had a hand in another mistake that ends up costing their conference.

The best argument for those stating the best teams were selected. Then ask yourself, if this was Bama and reverse the whole situation with FL St. would they have kept Bama out? Now consider how bad the SEC is this year except for 3 teams, 4 if you consider Mississippi a juggernaut. Everyone knows the answer! There was no way the ESPN was going to let the committee keep out an SEC team simply due to ratings with the SEC Network for the month of December.
