With their winning history and Dallas TV market, this was actually a solid yet not spatacular upgrade to the ACC.

I still don’t understand why the ACC added Stanford and Cal instead of Oregon State and Washington State if they are going to add schools out west.

Agree. What I don’t understand is Cal and Stanford. There was Cincinnati Oklahoma State that would have much better
along with SMU. What was wrong with TCU?

Heck even Memphis and Tulane in building a travel bridge to Dallas would have made more sense than Stanford and Cal.

You know it irks ECU that SMU gets in the ACC when they would love to be in the ACC playing UNC,NCSU, Duke and Wake,

As an SMU grad too, they are really excited about the ACC! Great school, a little on the ritzy side, but good Texas people. Great on campus stadium, but we used to play big home games in the Cowboys stadium or in the Cotton Bowl stadium.
Playing games in Dallas can only help our recruiting in Texas! If we are not in the SEC! The SEC will have TAMU, Texas, Oklahoma out West.

I went to ECU and always hoped they would move to a good conference. Rather them than SMU
