loser...

USC, the portal team of portal teams, bought themselves a Heisman QB... lost today to Utah and backup QB... 2d loss of the season.

North Carolina, with their all-world portal receiver, lost today to Virginia... Virginia.

Oklahoma, another portal destination squeaked by UCF on a failed 2-point conversion...

Listing all those teams that use the portal and lost today. Um ...do you think.... maybe, just maybe....the teams they were playing also had portal players on their teams.

With all due respect, ####. Keep praying to your Dabo statue that it'll get better.

No ,but Dabo can no longer be the rah-rah cheer leader on the sideline. There was no excuse for what happened tonight and it starts with him.

A perfect storm has hit Dabo and Clemson: loss of elite offensive skill players, failure to recruit and develop players, coaching changes which happened post covid. The extra eligibility and portal combined with NIL make it more challenging to recruit, develop and retain talent. It appears Clemson is not getting it done based on the results. Feels like the first two years after ford under Ken Hatfield. The team was very successful, then went 5-7 in 1992 after Fords recruits were mostly gone. Dabo is very high paid not to be 6-6 or 5-7. Since 2020-2021, the overall Clemson product has been deteriorating. How can he explain this Miami performance? I am not sure he will be able to undo this mess.

I think it will turn. Remember, FSU was top 5 for 14 years straight. I am a CU alum and hometowner, then lived in Tallahassee. Lotta FSU pals... Never in a Jillion years would i thought we'd have won what, 7 straight?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep, I was just about to say Ken Hatfield. And, I actually like the guy but

after his success at Air Force and Ark, man did he fall off the cliff at Clemson and the game left him behind (flexbone, anyone?)

I'd rather he be a cheerleader and let the coaches he hired, that he believes are as good as any he has ever had, manage the game.

QB had no run room all night.
It's on the 6 inch line.
Give it to your big back Mafah

Unfortunately Mafah is not the bruiser he looks to be. Hate to say it.

Agreed, on 4th and 1 to run the QB twenty yards sideways to get 1 yard? Four chances to get 2 yards and Clemson was stopped!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, he is incredibly stubborn. Maybe a losing season with no bowl game

Any OC could do the job as long as they were running a version of Chad Morris’s stolen Chizick playbook.

Dabo has had his success by out-talenting the other teams

1

Oct 22, 2023, 12:36 AM

And now he can’t do that. Game over.

nope, just he needs to realize a good OL/coach would make up for the need for epic QB/WRs/RBs. Our 'offense' relies on generational QB/WR/RB play with an 'get in the way' blocking scheme on OL.

Re: Has the game passed a coach by faster than it has Dabo?

Most coaches are doing everything they can to avoid that very thing from happening. Dabo has refused to use the transfer portal. But I don’t think that is the issue. If he’s not gonna use the portal to recoup the talent that walks out the door yearly then he needs to make wholesale changes to the offensive coaching staff that is respufor developing the talent that is already here. Not one of our offensive coaches are qualified for the job and it shows. But based on his recent comments it seems that he has surrounded himself with yes men and does not respond well to criticism. Well I say FIX IT DABO, I’m not the only one who can see it.

Some of us saw this coming 2 years ago, sadly it’s going to take a 7 win season or two for changes to be made. Right now, Dabo has and arguably has earned the right to do things his way. Most who understand that College football is a business know his way won’t work. He’s coming from a position of being a father (that he didn’t have) rather than a Coach. Football is a lot like the military, imagine how many wars we would lose if our boot camps were set up like our football camps. Life is hard, wear a helmet is all that needs to be said and then teach X’s and O’s. Problem is I don’t believe we have any X’s and O guys
