side of history. I had ancestors that fought in the civil war, but they were just poor dirt farmers and hillbillies from the north Georgia mountains. Never saw a slave in their life. They picked up rifles and made a stand because that's what they were told to do. It's not like they were defending their rice plantations.
A lot of German folks were the same in WW2. Their fathers, uncles & grandfathers went off to war, but they weren't Nazis, they were just protecting the Fatherland and their families. And because that's what they were told to do. It's funny how that works. Not funny ha ha. But definitely om the wrong side of history.
