My cousin, who was living on the Cherokee Reservation, took me along Highway 209 in his Jeep with the top off for a tour of all the small towns around Waynesville. We were following an RV and noticed what looked like a drizzle on the windshield. When my cousin figured out that the guy had the drain to his potty tank open, I thought he was going to run the guy off the road.

209 - Bob Pauling Scored 209 Clemson Points (10th Among Clemson Kickers)

Bob Pauling kicked for Danny Ford’s Clemson football teams from 1979-1983 (unless I am mistaken, he redshirted the 1980 season). He kicked 107 extra points and 34 field goals for the good Guys during that time.
Of note, Pauling did handle the field goal kicking duties for the 1981 National Championship team.
After scoring 209 points in his collegiate career, Pauling was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 8th Round of the 1984 NFL Draft.

209 - Jackson Carmen Played 209 Snaps as a True Freshmen at Clemson

Ohio State seemed to feel confident that they would sign OL Jackson Carman. Carmen was only rated as the best collegiate prospect out of their own home state in the 2018 class.
Instead, Carmen chose the Good Guys! The typical OL does not play a significant role as a true freshman. Carmen’s impact was almost immediate!
Jackson Carmen stats according to ClemsonTigers.com:
2018: Played 209 snaps over 13 games
- Played 18 snaps in collegiate debut vs. Furman
2019: Played 798 snaps over 15 games (all starts) helping Clemson finish fourth in the nation in points per game (43.9) and fifth in total offense (school-record 528.7 yards per game)
- Third-team All-ACC selection
- ACC Honor Roll selection
- Earned an AP All-Bowl selection for his role in limiting Ohio State’s Chase Young in that game
2020: Started all 12 games at left tackle, playing 793 snaps
- Second-team All-American according to CBS Sports
- Second-team All-ACC honoree who was also named second-team all-conference by the AP
Overall:
- Declared for the NFL Draft after playing 1,934 snaps over 40 career games (27 starts)
- Started each of the last 27 games of his career
- Helped lead Clemson to ACC titles and College Football Playoff berths in all three seasons
