there isn't any. What you all are reading and reacting to are bloggers and social media posters that produce content to get clicks. Truth, reliable sources, and verified data mean nothing in this day and age. That being said, let me give you a close shot at the truth. There are a few players in the big two and a few inside the CU athletic department that know what is going on. It is in their best interest to keep courting activities, movements, and conversation off of blogs and social media posts. Stop giving the teenagers in grandmas' basements and the sports guru wanna be's what they want, attention, recognition, and clicks which equals money. You can be sure of this Clemson has been making overtures, having conversations, and making internal moves behind the scenes. It is the way smart organizations do business. Clemson has a prefered landing spot in mind and a back-up plan. Just relax. We will all know when we know.

The “news” is also being driven by only a very few personalities that every 2-4 weeks pump out new speculation which is just repackaged old speculation.
The only thing I disagree with you on is wi the end of your statement. I’m sure that Clemson is working behind the scenes and has a preferred landing spot (assuming SEC or B1G). However, I am not so sure any feelings are reciprocated at this time. We are attractive enough if either the SEC or B1G is pushed to expand because of actions of the other I assume. But I don’t think we are viewed as 1st round talent.

by adding Clemson or FSU. They already have a major university in those markets. The BIG is a different story, gaining well known brands outside their current footprint would be major. As of now, the SEC owns the southeast. The BIG making an inroad there enhances their stature and would thus be attractive. I also think if you look at the behind the scenes movements of Clemson recently, 1. To become a top twenty research university by doubling the current amount spent on research by 2025. 2. To become the number one student experience university in the nation. 2(a) Part of this (and lesser known) is Clemson's desire to be recognized as an AAU institution. The addition of Women's gymnastics and lacrosse were not randomly chosen. They fit the AAU vision. These steps, from my uninformed perspective appear to have a secondary cause of aligning with other BIG universities. I maye be completely wrong. I don't have a blog to broadcast my ideas. Just what I quietly observe.

I agree with you. Neff and the BOT at Clemson are not stupid. They aren't sitting around hoping things work out all right. You don't get into their positions without knowing how multimillion decisions are made.
Neff and his staff are talking to people on a daily basis.

I think that whenever FSU makes a move, they will make it with a plan that Clemson is going with them. Or, if FSU gets an invite to the SEC, they will say that they want Clemson to come with them, and I say this bc I personally believe that Clemson and FSU become partners of leaving the ACC a long time ago...

What would be FSU's motivation to take Clemson with them? Why Clemson over NC or some other ACC team?

Both the SEC and the B10, as far as football, (main $$ driven sport) have each just had a major blow to their conferences with the exit of 2 great coaches. The only 2 coaches left that have national championships to its name is Kirby and Dabo. With all that said, In my opinion, Clemson would be very attractive to either conference because of our status under Dabo and the money generated by ratings for potential match ups would be out the roof. This coming year will be crucial to making the playoffs to solidifying a spot for an invite to either conference or some having a legal maneuver to get out of the GOR.
