After spraying balls everywhere the first 3 games??? Good for that kid to bounce back and be clutch our last 2 games.

Whelp. He didn’t have spring practice, summer workouts or fall practice. Kinda like leaving the clubs in the garage all winter and then heading out to the course in the spring. Takes a little while to find your swing.

Because you got a lot of in game practice, and that experience allowed to both learn whrere and how to improve, and be more relaxed and comfortable. I don't know why that is so bsfgling to you.

real games his whole career. Watched some greats kick and I do mean some great kickers. Gets asked back when he knew he would never put that uniform on again. Then got right and became a Clemson household name! He outscored usuck single legedly! And now he holds the freakin Gator Bowl field goal record!
Just an amazing story for him!

No. My point is if a kid has the ability to kick a 52 yarder like that, he probably should have been playing more or had someone from our staff recognize his ability.

Truth is sometimes you just don't know til later.

All accounts were that RG3 was killing it at practice and was basically anointed next up by the end of spring. It's the reason the other kicker transferred out after spring. Same heading into fall camp - RG3 was apparently killing it in practice so there wasn't anything pointing to him about to start struggling.

Happy for Weitz to go out like he did by killing it in the last couple of games. That said, the new FR kicker is probably going to win the job unless RG3 turns into the second coming of Adam Vinatieri.
