Hi, never been there but was in a class some years ago with a guy from there. The class was in Atlanta and he told me he had never seen trees like the ones there, there was just some type of brush that grew where he was from. I have lived in this area all my life and trust me these trees he was talking about were not really that large. Hope that helps.

I spent a couple semesters out there for grad school many years ago. Once you get outside the city in any direction there's nothing but flat cotton fields as far as the eye can see. Lots of good Mexican food is about my only fond memory of the place.

We used to joke that you could stand on a tuna can and see the entire city. It's flat, brown, and ugly. I escaped, came to God's country for college, and stayed. A life in Lubbock is like a slow death.

No boiled peanuts either.
