I don’t believe in moral victories but how they played and looked matters. I saw an offense that’s improving every game. I saw wide receivers emerge as playmakers. I saw a QB who is improving every game. I saw a Clemson team play toe to toe with a top 5 FSU team. It’s just unfortunate our schedule started with a good duke team few turnovers change the outcome of the game. Had we started with Florida Atlantic and Charleston southern then Duke we would have beaten Duke. Just some bad luck and some growing pains for our QB. But our work in progress offense is coming together well and I’m more optimistic then I’ve been in a while. 2024 is Clemson return to the playoffs. I believe this is a top 10 Clemson team this season. But unfortunately there only 4 playoff spots.

The negativity is ridiculous. This team is going to crush the coots and role up 500yds offense. I’m excited about this Clemson team. Especially 2024 season.

Sammy and then his brother Max. I'm hearing Max is a madman. Will be very similar to Skalski except refs aren't concentrating on quota numbers with respect to ticketing offenders.

You say you don't believe in moral victories then you could not have seen a top 10 team yesterday because every team in the top 10 could beat us right now. Our coach ,IMO, has become complacent and is seen as more of a cheerleader instead a manager. I see poor play calling by the coordinators, missed assignments, both lines being pushed around, an inconsistent kicking game, and poor clock management.
And you cannot say had we started with FAU and CSU we would have beaten Duke because we didn't start with them and IMO, Duke was ready to play and we weren't.
Sure there are only 4 spots this year and 12 next year but the problem next year is we will not even be ranked and any early season slip up and you won't even be one of the 12.

I think Clemson probably falls into the 7-10th range. I really believe that last season the wide receiver position was uncertain and questionable. Now 4 games into this season Stellato brown Williams has emerged also have Collin’s. We are in good shape TE wise also Cade is improving so have to just admit we are rebuilding but improving in every game. I believe we beat notre dame I believe we beat Miami and North Carolina and the coots. Only one of those games that’s a toss up is notre dame. 9-3 is the worst I see this Clemson team finishing with either a top 10 or worse case top 15 final ranking and we start next season ranked. Probably top 10. Riley Garrett is currently the best coach on staff. I hope Dabo brings in a top notch Defensive Coordinator for the 2024 season.

Clemson has top 10 talent and top 10 coaching.
Our talent has not matured yet. The bread is still rising in the oven. We will lose some more games this year due to erratic FG unit and more growing-pains mistakes from our offense.
The foundation is indeed in place for us to return to top 10 status next year because the factors of current young talent + star power recruits coming on board for 2024 season will converge for a terrific 2024 season.

I think FSU is really a top 15 team. I didn't see a top 10 from us. I think we are potentially a top ten team, but not yesterday.

Perhaps, but a lot of the top ten teams haven’t been overly impressive. Penn State, Michigan, and Washington look like the best three teams to me. That’s wild to even think.

Agree in that our talent has not yet matured to the point where really bad mistakes end up snatching victory away from us.
We will lose more games before end of 2023 season while our young players at key positions on offense learn to do their jobs and be humble enough to take the high probability good play instead of going for the low probability spectacular play.
2024 will be a special season for us unless injuries or illness at QB or LB or PK (I.e., those thin spots on our roster) derail us.

Thanks, I needed that. With all of this negativity, an adequate pressure relief what just what the doctor ordered. Reminds me of what one of our foremen used to say....it's kinda fill in the blank with respect to the famous person, but here it goes...

Defense is not our problem. This goes for both coaching and players.
Offense (including PK) is the current not-yet-fixed problem.

Couldn’t agree more! We are really good, and definitely trending in the right direction developmentally. Here’s my question though, there are handful of guys that can leave or stay after this season (Shipley, Mafah, Wiggins, Makuba, Carter, Trotter, etc.) do any of them see the potential in this team & decide to return next season? I think a few of them could comeback & make us national title contenders?
