Much of that is not cash sent to Ukraine. The majority of the tally is in cash sent to American manufacturers to provide ammunition and other supplies to Ukraine. The requirement to replenish our own armories can be considered somewhat of a benefit to us as we replace the old with newer and fresher ammunition/weapons.

I wish we didn't have to spend this money or the money for aid to Israel, but is is a responsibility that we have long accepted and to do otherwise puts us deeper in the hole as a declining world power.

In the case of Ukraine, we should put the EU on notice that they need to pony up a larger share - and we're not doing enough to force their hand.

According to this article, the run rate of actual cash sent to Ukraine is about 1/3 of the total amount advertised:

First of all, no American troops will be sent to Ukraine so get that out of your lefty war mongering heads. Poll after poll has come out saying a majority of Americans disapprove of just money being sent to Ukraine, so you can bet that number would jump sky high if troops were involved and it would be a death sentence for Dems at the polls

Second, for the last 30 years, Russia has ALWAYS said that Ukraine joining NATO would be a red line for them and what did we we do? We had Victoria Nuland orchestrate an overthrow of democratically elected government in Ukraine and replace it with US state department cronies and puppet actor zelensky who we pushed to join NATO. How would you feel if Russia placed its troops on the Mexican or Canadian border?

Third, the same people who are worried about foreign countries borders don't want us to have secured borders here at home. Estimated 7 million illegal immigrants have flowed over our borders on Bidens watch and are crushing border states along with cities like New York and Chicago. Make it make sense why Americans should worry about Ukraine when places like El Paso are being destroyed ?

Fourth, Ukraine CANNOT win and cannot show battle plans moving forward of how it plans it is going to win. Over 500,000 Ukrainians dead and the average age of men in their army has reached 44 years old. You can send all of the money and guns in the world to a country but if there is no one left to use them , how does that work?

Lastly, Ukraine is known to be the most corrupt country on earth and your pal zelensky just bought his second yacht. IF and that's a big if more money is going to be sent to Ukraine , the US border needs to be fully secured and an accounting needs to be done on the money already sent so we can be 100% sure of where it is going as our kids and grandkids will be paying the debt on it.
