the Saturday Professional Football League, the SEC will get 7 in most years.

I’m sure this expansion was an under the table guarantee to OU and Texas in order for them to move. Twelve teams means only one of them would get in normally but 14-16 teams plus the SOS auto bump for having SEC on the jersey means they both make it if over .500.

I believe at 14 teams, SEC and B1G get 3 auto bids. ACC and B12 get 2 each

SEC and Big Ten are now calling all the shots mostly to their benefit, further reducing the roles of the NCAA and CFP. Every week Sanky makes a new proposal - not the NCAA, not CFP. 2 conferences have monopolized college football. The failures of the NCAA have only reduced its abilities and lost all public confidence. The SEC and Big Ten are steering the ship.
