In Baseball Some Weekends are Just Perfect!

Not sure how this weekend could have been more perfect for Clemson baseball! Saturday, I had the opportunity to meet two great TNetters. Before the game in Columbia, I met up with MyfavOrange® and with TigerHawk76®. It is such a pleasure to meet genuinely good people. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed meeting each of them! Very glad to have been given the opportunity!
I then very much enjoyed spending time with MyfavOrange during the game itself. We talked about Clemson sports, we talked about TNet, and we talked about life – three obviously important topics. There were times during the game that my heart might have missed a beat (particularly in the 9th inning and beyond). Hearing the Gamechicken fans get quite loud in the ninth (as they should have at that point) only to have it snatched away in the twelfth somehow just added to the fun. It might not have been easy getting out of Segra afterward. But, what a great, great day!
I then got over to God's Country yesterday after church. The game started a bit slow. Being down 3-1 early on was a bit concerning. At that point, the Gamechicken fans were crowing loudly (again, as they should have at that point). But another great finish to another great game!
Obviously, both games were close - and I probably have orange-tinted glasses. But, I honestly think the better overall team won the games this weekend. Time will tell as the season continues.
Overall, the people were great! The weather was perfect. The outcomes could not have been any better.
In baseball – some weekends are just perfect!

CBProf® I love your user logo with the graduation cap. Did you create that custom or is it available to choose here on the site?

Thanks, smillsap1!
It has been years ago now, but I did put images of the paw and the graduation cap together myself. I considered adding an image of a rolled up diploma as well, but that seemed a bit too much.

As Ernie Banks would say on nice days..."Let's play two."

with TigerHawk76® and talking about whatever comes to our minds. Finally meeting CBProf® was awesome. Conversation during the game was entertaining. BTW, CBP, MfOjr. did better than I did on ways a batter can reach first base. He only missed one, the fielder's choice.
We even had the pleasure of running up with JKBtigerpaw. He doesn't resemble his avatar at all. Must have had a haircut.
It was a great day and how we won made it even sweeter!!!
Go Tigers!!

Two Baseball Questions

I love it! Of course, you did inform MfOjr that he outperformed his dad - Right? (LOL!)
For anyone interested in the question in which MfOjr outperformed his dad, we did pose two baseball questions. Obviously, anyone can look online for the answers (there is no trick at all in that). But, perhaps some of you baseball fan TNetters might know the answers without looking them up:
1. What are the six ways a batter can reach first base without getting a base hit?
2. Is it possible for a pitcher to be awarded a perfect game in which one of his/her teammates commits an error?
