I've seen this graphic posted in a few places with concerns that QB targeting calls will be crazy this year. Combing through the 2021 and 2022 NCAA rulebooks available online, the verbiage in section 2-27-14 has not changed related to a the definition of a defenseless player since last year.

Unless there has been an initiative to enforce this rule more I think we should expect more of the same calls as last year.
