Just saw interview with ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips at halftime on the Clemson-UNC soccer championship game. That guy has the personality and leadership inspiration of wet paper towel.

“Handling” is what it is actually called. I didn’t see the play in question but……..
Handling in the box = penalty kick, that’s the law. Having an omnipotent REF that doesn’t enforce the law is simply a soccer tradition.
Handling in the box that prevents a goal = Red Card for the offender & a penalty kick, that’s the law. Again, having an omnipotent REF, that doesn’t enforce the law, thereby changing the results of games is just a soccer tradition.
