Michigan has created a website begging their donors to give them money, so they can keep their players. Stating, "Our rivals are coming after many of our key players, trying to induce them to leave Michigan.
It's time for Michigan Family to show our players how much we appreciate them and want them back in Maize and Blue!"

All schools are doing this. Michigan is just coming out and saying it. I respect them more for speaking the truth of what NIL fundraising is all about.

Major college football has always been the minor leagues

And there is no development league or option to get paid overseas first like in basketball. And there is no minor league as in baseball.
So the only place to develop is college whether you want an education or not.
As a result, I don’t like it but I can’t find fault in NIL. The players don’t have an alternative to college.

Paying for parking, paying IPTAY, paying for all this gear, food on game days, paying for travel from your hard earned money then being asked to give money to some 18-21 year olds who are already given free tuition, free rooms, free all they can eat food, free supplements, free nutritionist, free medical, free trainers, free strength coaches, free coaches, free technology, free gear, free nap rooms (lol), free massage, free chiropractic gear, and on and on. Just so we can win some games? Man I’m out. Let someone else give their money up to “kids”

If players leave it's donors' fault for lack of funding. Couple that with the fact that it's also unsustainable and there is no reason to even start buying players. Even the NFL isn't this bad and I hate the NFL.
