It's a wulpacker getting screwed but it's still not right.

For those not wanting to watch, the swimmer set an ACC record, and while cooling down and celebrating he entered a teammates lane next to him. This wasn't immediate and all competitors had finished..except one.
He was nowhere close to the last place swimmer and did not affect the race in any way.

The swimmer won and in no way interfered with any other swimmer in the race!!
Is the lane violation an ACC rule or a national swimming rule? Wonder if the ruling can be appealed?

They can add it to their imaginary trophy case.
- Declared themselves CWS champs when they got sent home from Omaha.
- Awarded themselves an imaginary 10-win season when UCLA opted out of the stupid bowl game.
Just add this one to the list!
(It would be the most respectable one yet, since he actually did finish the race first.)

the kid should have known the rule. That's entirely on him.
On the other hand, his actions didn't impede or interfere with any other swimmers in any way shape or form or influence the outcome of the race, so this should really be a "no harm no foul" type of an issue.

I get why that rule exist, but he did not impede anyone he fell into his teammates lane who had already finished and it did not affect anyone. His teammate will give him the medal, but he does not get to compete in the nationals - sad.

Watching that only ticks me off that Clemson no longer has swim teams. Boo CUAD!
Reinstate swimming. Build a pool and they will come.
The fact that a world class institution like Clemson doesn't have an olympic size pool is ridiculous.
