Opt-outs for Orange Bowl?

I believe there will be a sizable number, and I’m fine with that. I’d hate to see one of our guys tear up a knee and endanger a promising career. However, it’s sad to realize that we’ve seen some of our guys in a Clemson uniform for the last time.

I personally hate these young men opting out. Now unless you’re in the playoffs that seems the way to go though. Jmo

I don't think you get many, if any, opt-outs from a NY6

Bowl game like the Orange Bowl. If it was another Cheezit Bowl, it probably would happen. That is why winning last night was so, so important.
Just like Mayo Boy said, last night, and the Orange Bowl, those two games can change the whole trajectory of OUR program, from a slow descent toward mediocrity, to solidly back in the Natty conversation going into next year.

Alabama will opt out if selected for sure! Tennessee will have more than we do!

not something we've dealt with, even last year. My prospects to opt out really isn't that large. Murphy the highest chance. Bresee and Simpson both projected first round, but both have room to impress more.

I’ve actually come around to the opt outs

With the CFP expansion on the horizon they’ve validated the fact that the other bowls just don’t matter anymore. The sole purpose of the bowls is to make money for the bowl destination so to say the game means something is untrue, why do you think there are so many?

If it doesn’t mean anything why is winning it one of Dabo’s goals every year? I forgot all y’all dumpers know more than Dabo all of a sudden this year.

Would opt out of playing in the Orange Bowl. They could always tell the grandchildren that they chose not play because they were afraid they would get hurt !

Why do insist on borrowing trouble when non actually exist? Have we ever had an opt out for a bowl game? In not why do we need to discuss? I guess enjoying an 11 win season and another conference championship for a couple of days is too much to ask?

That the Clemson team is made up of young men who will opt out of anything. Especially a New Years bowl game.

Lol don’t let something good get in the way of the CRY BABY brigade on this board. Many of the old time members live to whine about something everyday, while trying to push new voices off this board.

I also doubt there be many players to opt out of the bowl game. Likely the Orange so it's a big deal and the draft is not until April so there is time to train for those who could opt out. CDS has a culture of "we" not "me".
There will be a few enter the transfer portal but I hope that is a small number as well.
