The next few games will be the biggest of Brownells career

So by no means am I a big fan of Brownell, but IMO we’ve had a good season and this program is heading in the right direction. That said, I think the next few games will be very telling and will have a major impact on Brad’s future at Clemson.
The way I see it there are two possible outcomes -
— Outcome One: We beat BC, play UVA hard, keep our five/six seed, and win AT LEAST our first tourney game. The program finishes on a positive not and we take that momentum into next year!
— Outcome Two: We lose to BC, drop to a six/seven seed, then get upset in the first round of the tourney. Momentum killed.
Here’s to hoping for Outcome One!!

I just looked at final season rankings back to 2009-2010. If I made a mistake, I apologize and stand corrected. If I should have gone back further, I can do that too. The only year I saw Clemson was in 2017-2018 at #15. If true, that is not good.
I have always liked Brad and I want him to be successful. People like to talk about 20 win seasons. We all know that not all wins are created equal. Just look at the 20 win season last year ending with no final top 25 ranking. If the team does not win tonight, and loses first round in the NCAA, I believe that Brad will be gone.

That sounds right, but I’m not overly worried about previous season rankings… There were behind the scenes improvements (i.e, facility upgrades) that Brownell had a big hand in and should matter to our expectations today.
Where I completely agree is with your last point… a loss today and a first round tourney exit would be all too familiar, would kill any momentum we had built up, and ultimately I think would be the end of Brad’s time at Clemson.
Again, not rooting for that… I obviously want us to win. Just trying to discuss how I think things could play out.

It’s been 14 years. Going 1-1 in both tourneys to me proves nothing. He needs to make a decent run in at least one of them.
Having said that I don’t think it matters what happens. GN is going to keep him just for making the NCAA tournament.

Yup… really wish I we could get more detail on some of the expectations that GN has laid out for Brad.

Please don't say things like that, it could cause Brad to squeeze the breath out of his body with his crossed arms over his belly!!!

can't just be honest about pulling for us to lose early in the upcoming tournaments.
Amidoingitright CM Shack® ? ?
I wanna join the cult - I've had a change of heart - you guys are right - Clemson will ALWAYS be mediocre to terrible at basketball - so I wanna settle for 6th seed in the ACC Tourney EVERY year.
I see the light.

Didn't miss it - maybe we should get rings ? And the side panel could say:

And we WON a GAME.
We could consult the chicken boys football folk's on who could make them for us ?
Maybe the other side could be some kinda homage to being the overall #1 seed IN THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT for the NIT ? I think that would be very nice.
I'm really excited about being the newest member of the cult.

We win the ACCT for the first time in any of our lives. When that happens, who cares about the Dance
Sadly though, CBB will be given a lifetime extension right after

I’m cool with that… I mean winning the ACC certainly earns him a few years, not a lifetime contract though
