Four-star Kelby Collins is committed to Florida but that hasn't stopped Alabama from trying to flip him.


"When Peter Woods spurned in-state school Alabama to commit to Clemson over the summer, many thought it was a commitment that would change by the time Signing Day came around.

But with just two weeks until Woods makes it official with the Tigers he said he has no plans to take any other visits and hasn’t heard from Alabama coach Nick Saban about a potential in-home visit. Woods has been a destructive force in practice all week, making a strong case for a move up in the rankings. Letting him slip out of state is a tough blow for Alabama."

I do too. Think he may be the best we've ever had. We all know that is saying a lot. We'd have Woods, Caden Story, and Page. Wow!!!

To me, when a recruit makes a commitment, it should be over, but I know that is not realistic! I am very happy when we get a commitment from a high value recruit early, and he sticks to it. It shows character. I know Dabo tells the players to be sure they want to play for Clemson, not just think they do, before they commit to us. He only wants players who are "ALL IN", and it is very disappointing who a player doesn't respect that. On the other hand it is a great feeling when the player sticks with his promise, and it is the first building block of a Clemson Man!

Got to give the guy credit. To be the #1 player in Alabama and decide early to go to Clemson and deal with all of the heat takes a lot of character.
