The thing about TN is they're likely going to finish the regular season 11-1 and won't play in their conference championship game. If Clemson wins out, it will come down to the committee chosing between a 1 loss ACC champ Clemson or a 1 loss TN for the final playoff spot. TN knows this, and they know they have to win their remaining games convincingly to stay in the discussion. Coots better beware; a beatdown is coming.

Well, they certainly aren't going to drop if they beat SC and Vanderbilt so they seem very close to a lock for the playoffs. They will slide right into the Top 4 after the OSU-MI game. And then you could have a debate on whether a 1-loss MI or OSU team is better than a 1-loss USC or 2-loss LSU. If LSU beats GA for the SEC, now you have a real mess. And if TCU loses along the way, it could let another interesting team into the mix.

I don't think any of these scenarios favor Clemson because everyone we are talking about is still ahead of us and likely would stay that way for the most part.
