We know the polls are subjective. We know there is a bias against Clemson..for what it is worth, here is my tabulation and opinion. For the following LIST: BE is a win over a bowl eligible, power 5 team as of this week. BW is a bad win (10 points or less to non-BE team, 20 points or less to non-power 5 team). BL is a bad loss to non-power 5 team, or more than 25 pts to BE team. Yes, those are my parameters! AP Rank used for order of listing:
Georgia - BE 3; BW - Missouri, Kent
Ohio St - BE 2; BW - Northwestern (not in criteria, but this is a bad team at 1-8)
Michigan - BE 2; no bad wins
TCU - BE 3; BW - SMU, W VA, Tex Tech
Tenn - BE 3; BW - Pitt
Oregon - BE 1; BW Wash St; BL Georgia
LSU - BE 3; BW Florida, UAB; BL Tenn
Southern Cal - BE 1; BW, Arizona, California
UCLA - BE 2; BW South Ala
Alabama - BE 2; BW Tex AM
Mississippi - BE 1; BW Troy, Tulsa, Tex AM; BL Lsu
Clemson - BE 4; Bad win 0; BL 0
Utah - BE 2; BW Wash St
Penn St - BE 1; BW Northwestern, Purdue, Cent Mich; BL Mich
North Carolina - BE 1; BW Ap St, Ga St, Miami, VA
Clemson is the only team with 4 wins against currently power 5 bowl eligible teams. They have no bad losses (the +25 point spread saved us), and no bad wins.

You can call last night what you want but it was a turrible loss. Not just a bad loss.

I call a bad loss when the other team beats you, without a doubt. That was not the case last night, We had 2 interceptions, one of those was inside the red zone 5 yard line...that is 7 points lost, and since it was run back for a TD, a 14 point swing in the score. The other interception was inside our own 14 yard line, leading to one of their touchdowns. And we had the blocked punt for a touchdown...So we gave them 21 points off of two interceptions and one blocked punt, and failed to get those 7 points on one of our deep drives.
Our offense scored 14 points and adding in the 7 points missed on the interception, that gives 21 points as our possible score.
Their offense scored 14 points (negating the 14 yd TD after the other interception). We gave them the other 21...
This is making excuses, but this is not like the beat downs we put on Alabama (44-16), Notre dame (30-3), Ohio St (31-0), and Oklahoma (40-6, 37-17) during our playoff runs. Those were bad losses by those other teams, because it was obvious that even without turnovers, Clemson was going to win those games...It took turnovers for us to lose last night. Would be have lost without the turnovers? Maybe, but it would not have been "a bad loss". ND only had 67 more yards on offense than we had last night.
And here is the stat of the night....The Notre Dame offense had absolutely no flags thrown agaisnt them for the whole night!!! Of course, there were no holding calls, even though they were happening, and no offsides, no false starts, etc! I do not think I have ever seen that!

That seems like a lot of effort to convince yourself the #4 team in the nation losing by 3 tds to an unranked, 3-loss team isn't bad.

Poll thought. None of that matters when you stop to consider the only poll that matters is the CFP Poll and from everything I have read, heard, or seem the powers to be that pick the 4 eventual teams uses the eye test formula.
Don't believe me. Well the USA Today Coaches poll has a 2 loss Alabama ranked above a 1 loss Clemson. Alabama's 2 losses were by 4 points to two ranked teams. Clemson lost by 21 to an unranked team.

Having Bama ranked so high is too. Didn’t LSU in a sudo home game lose to FSU and get blown out by Tenn?! Bama has been suspect
All year. These things make college football almost unwatchable.
