Before Biden sold off half the oil reserve in 2023, at the peak, there were about 727 million barrels of oil held in reserve by the government and private oil producers. It is currently below 400 million barrels. Each barrel equates to about 42 gallons of gasoline after refining.
Now there is a Bill in draft to sell of all gasoline reserve for the Northeastern U.S.

So the article you posted proves what I said is true. Your article said the oil reserves are down from the same number I said (727 million barrels) and the current reserve is 361.6 million barrels which is less than 400 million barrels which I also said. What's your point? Where did I say the oil wasnt being replenished? I just pointed out the reserve is half of what it was.
Calculate the reserve in regards to how much gasoline can be made: 361.6 million barrels of oil in reserve ÷ 8.81 million barrels of oil required to make the gas for 1 day usage in the U.S. = That's enough reserve for 41 days of gasoline (which won't be available to Joe Public in a crisis).
Seems like the 3 prong replenishment strategy timeline needs to be accelerated. The oil prices in the U.S. are lower than OPEC and equal to, and in many cases, equal to and even below the $79 purchasing threshold. Why doesn't Biden want to buy American? In other news, another 26 million barrels has to be released from the reserve this spring because it was previously sold. Therefore, it is highly probable there will be no increase to the oil reserves in 2024.
BTW, energy stocks are a major reason why I live where I live.
Keep trying!

Tell me why I'm suppose to be outraged that we ONLY have 350+ million barrels in the reserve. We're drilling 13M per day, correct?

You can't articulate why 350 million barrels of oil in the SPR is a bad thing. 😆 You're learning that weak narratives are troubling to defend. Tapping out was the right thing to do. 😆

Oh she’s willfully ignorant. Her daddy Biden is her savior and can do no wrong. What’s happening at the border is totally acceptable and not record breaking. Just ask her.

OBidens SPR strategy brings back Popeye and Wimpy line

Ever watch reruns of the old “Popeye the Sailor Man” cartoon?
Wimpy, who was a Great Depression era bum in the Popeye cartoon, had a reknown line of ‘I’ll pay you back Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
The OBiden Administration’s plan for the SPR is like Wi pay’s strategy. Get what they want now (take oil out of the SPR to carry out the political strategy … not national security strategy for which the SPR was purposed, but political strategy to be used for 2022 midterm elections political strategy) and then ‘promise’ to fill it back up at some point in the not short term future.
Waiting until 2027 to restore the misappropriated barrels that were withdrawn from the SPR in 2022 was timed for … here comes … a time when Biden had gotten past his final mid-term elections hurdle.
The OBiden Handlers Admin’s blatant politicization of EVERYTHING is why most Americans despise him and his handlers.
If it were not for the big corporations (which pretty much are all crony crooks with the OB Handlers Admin), federal bureaucracy, public schools employees, NGOs whose livelihoods depend upon govt grants, and University / College employees … in other words, constituents whose comfy lifestyles rise with Democrat political fortunes …, then the Democrat party would sink away into the mud pit of oblivion.
Baw, best to avoid oil / energy / SPR topics if you are to keep your Order of Lenin medal from getting tarnished.

OK, then why hasn’t OBiden Handlers Admin filled up the SPR again?
They depleted it in 2022 on the basis of a political emergency.
Why, with boogeyman Putin hiding beneath every leftist’s bed, won’t Biden act to replace all of the oil now (since foreign wars seem to constitute a security threat to the USA)?
It’s not as if the OBiden handlers have any qualms about racking up stupendous deficits and stupendous debt for other matters that are not remotely related to our national security.
Would it be politically bad for the WH to use the bully pulpit to educate America on the desperate need to get America prepared to handle a potentially long lasting energy availability threat?
