Hey great, we're 8-0; that means we had 8 good overall outcomes - congratulations, seriously - it says you've got things to cheer about, reasons to beat your chest, the roundball equivalence to pre- and early-season Gamecock bowl-promise. No, Congratulations are in order. You're actually 2 games better now than I thought you'd be (of course, I hadn't seen the team in action, either).
So, yes, the record says you're 8-0, but it also doesn't say diddly about how you got there.
Let's see then:
17-2 run against by Davidson.
Loss of all but 2 points of a 17 point lead at Pitt.
8-minute scoring drought to close out the 1st half against South Carolina.
And that's just in 8 games; and by early-season Massey #89, #72, and #57. Not a bad list, certainly, but not your Daddy's Duke, North Carolina, or UVA either.
Indeed, those are facts, not blowhard bits of brain expelled in air bubbles like a fair share of Basketball commentary here.
So, it appears, that quite possibly not a single over-arching thing has changed this year,
EXCEPT Brownell has better shooters than he's had in the past. People who can step out and put the ball in the basket, consistently. Say Joe Girard over Marcquise Reed or Damarkus Harrison or Jordan Roper, PJ Hall over Eli Thomas or Landry Nnoko or even, at some range, Aamir Simms; and likely, Chauncey Wiggins over John Newman or Tevin Mack or David Skara;
AND he's finally having to give up playing 5'10" Point Guards and 6'3" Wings on Defense in some throwback redux of his own Div. II 3-Guard line-up.
It certainly helps that he's got Senior and Super-senior talent at key spots as well on THIS team: PG (Hunter), 2G (Girard), Center (Hall). Key backups Hemenway, Clark, and Leyte are all Seniors too even as the first two are having injury problems with limited contributions.
And even unlike Coaches Barnes, Purnell, and most notably, Ellis, he's been able to simply buy some talent too. So, someone please cry me another freaking river again about everything that little Bradley has had to overcome.
Other than that, as we can see from the already growing list of questionable runs against, his schtick is still the same as what his Daddy Coached in Indiana HS League.
Clemson has a lot of good, talented players, but not the Coach to make the most of them.

Grammar =/= to spelling. He completely altered the context of Mike’s post to launch his attack. None of which actually had to do with the actual content of Mike’s post. You were able to utilize context clues to understand what word I meant, so you should be able to understand the actual point. No reasonable reading of the sentence that mountaineer attacked can be interpreted the way he did. So he has a sub 100 iq or he’s a troll. I’ll go with the latter but he is free to confirm the former.

from same that you do not like Brad Brownell. Shocker! But, take heart. No less a Brownell scok, er I mean SUPPORTER than Valley Boy just replied to a post I made about football, and said that, and I quote:
"PLAYERS win games, not coaches."
So, as EYE said in a post awhile back, it does appear that this time around, Brad Brownell may have actually recruited a bunch of players who CAN overcome his coaching to still win games. These guys have already won, by my count, at least two, probably three games that previous CBB collections would have lost, by the old "Close, but no Cigar" margin.
This team is entertaining to watch, and Ian Scheiffelin is FUN to watch. PJ Hall is a polished big man at this stage of his career, and he and Scheiff together give us enough of an inside game to survive at times when the treys are clanging off the rim, like they were in the first half against the Coots.
If, despite all that, CBB finds a way to fold this team and miss the NCAA Tourney, then AD Neff's path should be crystal clear. But, this team may just be good enough to bail Brad Brownell out.

Please don’t watch any games for the entire season as I don’t want anything to cloud your acute observations. this team clearly hasn’t done anything worthwhile this year, have only marginal talent and have bought players unlike previous coaches.
I recognize you don’t like Brad which is your right obviously. But please don’t act like you have some deep seated, righteous insight into basketball or his coaching abilities. Stating he has bought players is frankly embarrassing for you as Brad may be the most honest, integrity filled coach in the country bar none.
So please don’t enjoy this really good basketball team or any others until Brad is gone and you get your wish.

Previous Coaches at Clemson did not have that opportunity legally, and at least one Coach, Ellis, got dinged for impermissible benefits.
While it is true that all schools now compete in this fashion, and as such the playing field would be presumed "level", common sense says that schools that apply greater dollars to Athletics will win out in the end. Clemson would definitely fall into this category at the top of Div. 1, while other schools that have competed effectively in the past in Men's Basketball may not be able to do so in the future.
And thus, NIL is a net advantage for Brownell that other Clemson Coaches did not have.
It would have been better for you to ask the question if I was suggesting Brownell had cheated rather than assuming such incorrectly.
But that's the nature of TNET these days: poor readers, judgmental members, arrogant Clemson "fans".

1. I'm assuming their mascot is the "Shopping Buggies" and the team color is blue, but will defer to your knowledge...
2. Also, is their home court somewhere in Arkansas, or do they do China these days? Toodles...
