in terms of fan #s. The crowd overall hasn't been as loud, either. Even last years USuC game, we weren't as loud as 2017 and before. It seems that in 2018 everything turned corporate, the loud rowdy fans have since been priced out.

I feel like the timing is off. Too much standing around awkwardly. I also think the balloons made it a better experience and when they used to run down all together instead of skipping down 2 at a time.

The timing is definitely off. Nothing against "We Will Rock You" but it is not part of our traditional entrance. Tiger Band should not have to wait around on the audio crew to finish playing a generic rock song.

Excatly. That's why I do have something against it. I've always thought the song was pretty overdone and corny. Maybe it wasn't considered so in it's time, but it seems to overt and I think it clashes with the school spirit of Tiger Rag and isn't nearly as exciting as Tiger Rag. Annoyingly generic.

The main part that I miss from years back was the way they came down. They rushed down as a team. DABO would need a good head start if that were the case now. It’s still exciting to see the busses( from our view) pulling up to the gate as the band is preparing to form the corridor for the team. Who cares what others think. It’s our entrance and it’s still the best. Still gets on plenty of advertisements and videos. Go Tigers!!!

through the speakers has had an effect of making the crowd less engaged. They seem much more in sync with the band to me.

but I do agree that things have become more and more corporate, and as a result, less unique per each school and less and authentic and exciting. I actually think this trend applies to the college football world generally, not just Clemson/The Hill. I'm not sure I could pinpoint it to a particular year, but over time I've noticed this too.

Also too much focus on the bus part of it. That was never a real part of the experience until espn showed it on TV before the Georgia game. It’s just meant to be how the team gets to the hill and then everything is focused there.

What's wrong with the timing though? The band starts playing the Orange Bowl March when the team arrives at the top of the hill. About a minute later, they fire the cannon. It's been this way for a long time. Other than removing the balloons and playing We Will Rock You before they arrive, there's literally nothing that's different than it was 10 years ago.

we go from the video (which I'm not a fan of this year), to "We Will Rock You", and then it just seems like an awkward transition back to the band. I think if they left out either the hype video or "We Will Rock You" that things would be better.

It was way more exciting when a team like SCAR runs all the way to the bottom of the hill , runs into a couple of band members, taunts our Tigers and starts a brawl. LOL.

That Im a Longhorn who'd rather be at DKR on Saturdays but who lives here and has access to a bazillion seats to all games makes this sound blasphemous but:
A. The Hill's never been exciting. And logistically it makes no sense. warmup, leave field, climb on bus, suck bus fumes, ride to other end of field, get off bus, run down hill back onto field. It's a career-ending injury waiting to happen is what it is.
2. Too much going on on the field before and during game. Band, dancers, hangers on, lights, pyro, jumbotron. Endless hype.
Z. Players celebrating every routinr tackle, catch, first down ... just go back to the huddle and shaddup.

The logistical inconvenience only highlights the point of it all. They go through the logistical inconvenience precisely b/c it IS exciting. They've been doing it for almost 60 years. I'm pretty sure it isn't that high risk (which isn't to say no-risk).
Playing football, on the other hand, IS a career-ending injury waiting to happen.

Here’s the thing about the hill entrance: if the game time is just right and the team gets there at just the right time and the game has just the right amount of meaning/emotion and you yourself are in just the right mood and seat and you can hear the band and the cannon clearly it can send chills down your spine. It was never meant to be an earth shattering event 7 times a year. It’s a tradition and is performed a certain way by tradition.

It's a great entrance. I think one thing that has effected my excitement is that I feel like we're supposed to dominate the team we're playing now 95 percent of the time. I'm disappointed if we don't play very well and we usually don't.
