Bama ranked that high based on name recognition not performance.
Change "Bama" to "Missouri" and TCU would definitely be ahead of them and no one would question it.

Yes sir. Bama and SEC propped up with ranking LSU 10 ( they lost to the Noles) and Texas at 23. FSU has the better win with the same w-l record as Texas. But wait, Texas got the almost beat Bama W that trumps am outright W over LSU

True to the point: "it deserves repeating"!
The SEC lovers can't get it through their collective noggins; "if you inflate the SEC schools opponents who reside at the top of that league; it guarantees a National Championship opportunity"! Or, "they do get it all too well"! Crazy like a fox as they say!
Sometimes they have the best team; sometimes though -they absolutely do not. Clemson and Ohio State say high since the playoffs started.
Stacking the deck to have more teams get in who couldn't do it in league play; isn't fair to the rest of CFB.
If they want an SEC invitational. Why not have an SEC championship game? Oh wait, they do!

Why? Because they beat unranked Oklahoma and because Kansas hosted Gameday, then proceeded to lose 3 in a row?

So aren’t Pitt, Florida and Kentucky but that doesn’t stop the Tennessee has 5 ranked wins talk. No doubt they deserve 1 at this point, but it’s just a weird double standard you’ll hear that ranked at time of game helps some teams and is downplayed for others

The best team in the SEC that Tennessee has played so far Alabama got beaten in regulation. The lowly ACC team needed OT in order to be defeated by the Vols.
"I was just being a **** today to some SEC-lover-boys and kept saying that over and over"! LOL!

It has to count what they were ranked when you beat them. It can be no other way.

So then Clemson has a top 10, top 15 and top 21 win. There should be no debate about them in top 4 if that’s the case

Clemson has beaten 3 teams ranked in the CFP.
Syracuse 20, WF, 21, NC St 22 (all 3 10th when played)
Clemson plays ND, Louisvlle, Miami & Uof SC (3 previously ranked) and possibly UNC 17
TCU has beaten 4 teams ranked in the CFP:
Ka St 13, Ok St 18, formerly ranked Okla & Ka
Still to play Texas, Baylor, Iowa St and possibly Ok St 18 again (all have been ranked)
