It proves that kids mature and come into their own at different rates. It also has to do with coaching at the high school level and just maybe the individuals that are rating these guys don't always know what they are talking about depending on how subjective the ratings are.

He also came into the NFL at the right time. If he had been earlier he probably would have never been given a chance due to his size. He also likely would have been beat to death in the former NFL that did not protect QBs.
