Could have had an East and West division. Could have alternated a championship game in Charlotte one year and Los Angeles the next. TV payout would have been pretty good. It was unthinkable at the time.

Just as it should be today, out of the question. But still even back then just as it is today, Clemson just isn't suited for the ACC as a power FB school!!!

The new TV money would have solved everyone's problem. The ACC felt very secure with that GOR though. All these so called smart people aren't really so smart.

ACC could take The PAC 2 and change the name to C2C (Coast To Coast Conference)!

At least that way they could add the Big Everhowmany teams too.

No need to change the name as none of the conference names match the current membership.

The PAC leadership was worse than the ACC if that is possible. Neither would have been willing to merge back in the day.

This would have consolidated some of the biggest brands in college athletics and academics. It was a radical idea at the time. Not so much today.
