of the Tournament for upset AQ's that otherwise would not have qualified.

1) Nake a 68 team bracket with the best teams, and regular season conference champions included in the AQ spots.

2) Every upset AQ winner (not in the original 68 bracket) goes into an additional play-in game against the lowest ranked team in the 68. In other words, the regular season champions will NOT get left out of the Tournament from these "One bid"conferences, but neither can a team with a losing regular season record steal a bid from an otherwise deserving team, either.

3) Yes, this will amount to some additional games, variable from year to year. But, there would be a whole lot less griping about worthy teams getting left out. I ASSURE you, there were several really worthy teams left out this year, and the griping is justified.

Too much going on. With the Conference Tournaments everyone gets a chance to play themself in ala NC State. That is why they don't need to expand it.

No thanks. Griping is fine and will happen no matter the format or number they expand it to. Someone is always in the margin of making it or not. Only teams left out are average teams.
