No idea, but when schools like Tennessee take the NCAA to court over trying to

regulate NIL collectives, and the NCAA loses, this is what you will probably get going forward.

As much as the Government is not good at fixing ANYTHING, they are probably going to have to get involved some way to rein in this out of control "amateur" athletics NIL stuff.

The universities need to make them employees

…then you can bring some order to this.

And they don’t have to wait for a conference of them to do it.

They could individually university by university make their football players employees.

nope..... that should never happen. They are students.... not employees. Sorta the reason for having colleges.... an education? Fix the portal and add graduation requirements; you fix the issue.

If they are employees, everything of value is taxable - scholly, healthcare, food, lodging, books, NIL, etc. Also, tax impacts to the universities as well.

What we need is a governing body willing to make rules for amatuer student athletes and be willing to fight. I know what the Supreme Court did but there are rules we all live by in every facet of out lives. That's what makes a civilized society work is the citizens belief in the rule of law and the law of rules. What we had here is a weak NCAA not caring to actually fight and just gave up and gave in. Playing college football is a privilege and if you think these universities and tv networks are taking advantage of you as a player, THEN QUIT. Never seen such bull. Have a university give you everything free it possibly can to the tune of millions upon millions of dollars. We've all seen the peanuts most university athletic departments work with after having government force them to provide opportunities to sports that cost the universities millions. Yet we give football and basketball players everything under the sun yet these poor babies are just being taken advantage of. The powers that be keep thinking there isn't a ceiling to popularity. Eventually they will turn around and realize they ruined what was once a great thing but they probably still won't care bc heck their rich

How many of you have worked and looked for a new job or had head hunters calling you about jobs? I guess not many on this site. We live in America in a free, capitalistic society and NIL is a perfectly legal and legitimate part of that society.

Remember, he transferred from O-cry-O State to The U of Second Choice.

This is nothing more than a money grab and represents everything that is wrong with college athletics.
