Someone is selling tickets on this board and asking that I go by CVS or Walmart and put money on a green dot card. I don’t even know what that is…Has anyone ever purchased tickets this way? I’m wondering if this is a scam?

I know that most IPTAY members selling their tickets just use the IPTAY site "sell" function that uses Ticketmaster - those tickets are genuine and guaranteed by Ticketmaster. May be worth a few extra bucks to use a known reputable dealer...

payment by Green Dot cards. Once the cards are activated at checkoot, all anyone needs is the code from the back of the card and the funds can be transferred anywhere, usually overseas.

Green Dot cards are a vehicle used many times to scam the geriatric population.

Is it from a 727 area code? If so, I made a post about him(?) the other day.. Everything looks legit - he had pics of his season tickets and parking pass.. but that number shows up on the scam list, and whatever that GreenDot thing is, it's definitely a scam.
