Good for them.

The gist of the comment is, (parpahrased) "You are now applying the rules concerning booster clubs to collectives. If that is so, then every major university is guilty of level 1 violations."

I'm no fan either.

But, I'm also no fan of the NCAA and the way they just make up rules and enforce them in a completely random and arbitrary way.

And I get where you're coming from. We could be next because the NCAA is random, capricious, vindictive, and greedy. A great combination.

Indeed! One of the biggest denunciations against the NCAA...

UVa is in on it too. It violates the antitrust stuff. The ncaa is going to ge embarrassed. It will speed up the demise of the ncaa and it will affect all sports.

Now, not to hijack your thread here, I didn't realize that the gor revenue media rights only apply to acc home games. So net effect, fsu looks very attractive to the B1G even if they can't get around the g o r. It's a chance fsu doesn't play an acc schedule this year.

What if the BV1G, or SEC, made this agreement with FSU?

1. You must play all 8 conference games as the away team.
2. We will sell you four of those games for "$1 and other valuable considerations" and allow you to play them at home,

Man, wouldn't the ACC go crazy over that? ESPN and the ACC would head straight to the courts, for sure, and the courts would have a ball dealing with that.

Spot on Bret. I don't think it's very devious. Guess we'll know more mid February. Isn't that when the acc and fsu response are due. And then in June?? But as far as fsu not playing acc this year, that has to do with the acc threatening to withhold FSU’s revenue?

Btw, the other thread with David pollock was a hijacked Twitter account that really looked like his account.

It was David holding a sign up that said "End Wokeness " in case you didn't see it. I saw you posted it'd been deleted. Just FYI

The NCAA only had one rule that was universal to all states

When they introduced NIL, you can’t use it to entice recruits out of high school or the portal. Once on campus they left it to each state to regulate it. Tennessee, FSU and a ton of others have broken this one rule and are now acting like children. It’s not that hard to understand, they broke the rules, and very publicly, and now have to deal with it. It’s a joke.

This right here, the ####### crying over a school who legitimately broke a rule that was from day one is hilarious. I just can’t tell if people want an absolute lawless society in every aspect or they’re just stupid.

They had one #### rule! ONE! I think it’s both, stupid and want to move the goalposts at every turn to fit what ever agenda they want to benefit them. 99% of the schools not being able to comply with the only rule put in place, and thinking they shouldn’t be punished is really sad and alarming to their state of mind. NIL and transfers aren’t ruining CFB, it’s people thinking like this and refusing to follow a single rule… ties into Dabo citing tampering being the issue, they go together.

because there are always going to be programs that look for ways to operate outside the framework of the rules.

Exactly man it’s infecting regular people to they’re absolutely unable to hold themselves accountable in any way shape or form. It’s why people have become so ###### all they do is whine “poor ol me” “but but these people are doing it” just tired of the disingenuous ######## and the people who act like rules aren’t needed

If the NCAA has any written communication (email or other) between the Athletic Department and the NIL Boosters mentioning a specific recruits name, the TN AD will eat those words.
