Going back to a comment I made yesterday, Dabo had to fire a friend of his after he talked Matt Luke into coming out of retirement and back into coaching college FB, so Dabo had to make a spot for Luke if he could talk him into coming back to coaching and his friend Thomas Austin was the guy in the spot that Dabo was offering to Luke.
College sports is about the winning, and with that being the case it's probably best not to hire your friends bc there may come a day that you have to fire them for the sake of winning and Dabo has proven twice in the past two years that he would do what has to be done if and when that time comes in order to keep the fun in the game, and we all know that the fun is in the winning!!!

Unfortunately, the OL is the hardest position in football to analyze correctly at the high school level. A few are can't miss, but they are rare. Tony Boselli and Orlando Pace type guys don't grow on trees, sadly.

I feel like Sanders is a silent commit. Just a feeling. If Luke can land him he'll get in the ear of some the others until they commit.
Talk of wanting to play together is a major plus.
We could be in position to sign our best OL group since the signing Hyatt and Fruhmorgen.
My question for the board from anyone who might know. Is Luke a likeable guy ? I'm aware of his ability in his craft but know nothing of him personally.

I haven't heard anyone saying any bad things about the guy as far as being a hard person to get along with, nor have I read anything about his X players having negative things to say about him. I do believe to make it in college sports as a coach, you would need to have the people skills to get along with young adults bc you wouldn't stay anywhere to long if your players were leaving bc they just couldn't get along with their coach. I understand that coaches have to let it be known that they are in charge, but there are many ways that can be done without being disrespectable about it, and I haven't heard of any negativity towards Luke with him getting along with others, players or coaches...
