Personally, I think the 2016 team was better than the 2018 team despite the scores.

The ranking puts our Tigers at Number 2 and LSU at number 1.

Both teams ended up at 15-0.
Both teams beat 6 teams with 9 or more wins.

Clemson's 15-0 team had a great defense and only gave up 197 points.
LSU's 15-0 team gave up 328 points.

Clemson margin of victory was larger than that of LSU.

LSU was a one hit wonder in the Playoff era.
Clemson appeared in 4 National Title Games, winning 2 of them.

To this Clemson fan our program has easily been better than the LSU program in the playoff era.

(And the Alabama program has been the best program of the playoff era)

Top 4 teams, in my opinion, would be 18 chanson, 19 lsu, 18 Alabama, 19 Ohio state. That fiesta bowl game was crazy. Dobbins dropping the wide open td that would have put them up 20-0, then getting injured changed everything. I’m sure most will say 19 Clemson over them but looking back that team was loaded. Good to see day still choking in the big games
